Display externally hosted video and audio data, stored in public-facing AWS S3 storage buckets.

Recommended Posts

I am creating a squarespace website with the plan to host large audio files and video files that can be played directly from the user's web browser. Rather than storing this content on Squarespace servers, I would like to store all of the content in public-facing AWS S3 storage buckets. These can be played directly from the browser and I would like to serve the content through my own CDN (also set up through AWS). For this, I have created my own servers through AWS Lightsail. This involves my own public IP, so I would like to edit the DNS records within my squarespace site to point to my own servers hosted through AWS.

Given this intention, my question is this: What is the best way to configure pages in Squarespace to display externally hosted video and audio data? Furthermore, how can I point squarespace to my own DNS records to offer optimal service time of this content through an externally configured content delivery network (CDN).

Thank you for your time, I greatly appreciate any guidance the squarespace team can offer to help me set this up!
