Remove banner slideshow in blog page

I added a sidebar to my blog page in Bedford/7.0. Now the header/banner on my blog page shows the featured blogs as items as a slideshow with the featured blogs as selectable. I cannot figure out how to replace the slideshow with the photo I had before adding the sidebar. I want to keep the sidebar and lose the banner. My other pages show the appropriate photo in the header. Apologies for the question. I'm not a techie, but I've consulted all the online help and am at a loss.

Try adding this to Design > Custom CSS

}
