How do I make one of the header link to different URLs on different pages?

Hello,

I'm on squarespace 7.1 and am looking for a way to make one of the header buttons in the main navigation bar link to a different URL on each page.

some background:

I followed this guide to make my site duolingual since Weglot doesn't have my target language.

But every time I clicked on the "language switch button" it goes back to the home page, which could be unconvenient for users. I'm hoping that this could be solved by linking the language button on each page to the corresponding page of the other language.

Maybe some header code could do the trick?
