7.1 Gallery to the left of Text Block

I’m trying to migrate from Wordpress to Squarespace and mimic my current site layout…

Is it possible for a single column Gallery to be on the left, and have a text block to the right of the gallery?

This is the layout I am trying to mimic:

It seems like a Gallery has to be full width in a Section?

* I am trying to add a Gallery to a Portfolio page, so I can retain my current URL structure

You can create image block and text block and drag them into your desired layout

Thanks. But if I want to include about 40 photos, does that means I have to individually create 40 image blocks?

Have you tried adding Text Block on right and Gallery Block Grid on left yet?

I came here for something similar. But I seem to missing some Blocks, The only way to get a gallery/Slideshow for me now is to use the auto-layout versions. They do not allow me to move the gallery to my desired location. A video talked about editing a "headline" section but I'm missing that entirely from my options. I do not have a slideshow or gallery block available after choosing the blank section either. 😞

When you add a section > Choose this

Next, add a blank section

Then you can add text left, gallery block on right

Thank you so much! I had no idea that was there! It's so small. lol

I'm trying to do the same thing. I followed your instructions. But I get a wide blank selection with a text block in the middle. I can't add a block left or right, only over or under the text block. And there's no choice to add a gallery block anywhere.

When you add a section, choose this first & don't use pre-build layout

Gallery block has been removed from the fluid blocks menu.

Add a Blank Section > Then you can add Gallery Block

Use Gallery block to place both gallery and text in same section, on 7.1 sections, use Classic Gallery block to insert Gallery block
