How do I remove the white space between the Header and the Landing Page

I used to have a banner image at the top of my page, but I've removed it as I want the tagline immediately under the header, followed by the thumbnails. However, now that I've removed the old banner, there's this big white space between the header and the tagline that I can't get rid of. Any idea how I remove it? Thanks in advance!
