Adding a color block with text directly below banner image

I know this may sound simple to you all but the solution is eluding me, so I've come here for your help.

I want to create a solid color rectangle with text, the width of the banner image that's above it (full page width) and have no space between the two.  I've attached an image of what I'm trying to create in squarespace 7.1  Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Just add a section under it.

Or add a Text Block, then we can give the code to achieve this.
