How to delete multiple images in new Product Editor?

In the new Product Editor we're being forced to adopt by the end of this month, there doesn't seem to be a way to delete multiple images at the same time.  In the "classic" editor you could shift-select as many images as you wanted, click delete and then confirm you wanted to delete all the selected images. 

I use this feature all the time--when I add a new product I typically duplicate an existing product that is set up how I want it, and then delete the existing images so I can replace them with new ones.  In the new editor I can only delete each image one by one, which is very time consuming and impractical.  Surely there must be a way to do this?  

I'm new to Squarespace and am glad at least someone mentioned this. Crazy annoying when you want to copy listings and have to manually delete each image. I hope that it's just a glitch, otherwise I may have to switch back to Wix.

I’m also amazed this is missing. This is a basic feature. 

Incredible that this STILL hasn't been addressed. Apart from the poor workflow of the new editor this is my single biggest gripe. Sometimes I get halfway through individually deleting 50+ images one by one and wonder why I'm even using squarespace any more. 

I am looking for this option too, any updates?

How is this still not available in 7.1?
