linking to external domain via a site url

I currently have a series of redirects set up for links to external domains that appear repeatedly on my site.  I'm doing this so that when there's a change to the external domain for various business purposes, I can just adjust the redirect and not have to adjust all of the associated links on the site.  Are redirects the best way to do this?  Or should I instead create a series "page links" in the in the Squarespace Pages section that lists pages not in the site navigation?   (Sorry for the word jumble.  Squarespace nomenclature makes this a bit muddy.) Thank you.
