Navigation Color on Homepage

I am having a hard time getting the colors correct for my navigation. The entire navigation is set to black links which is great, it works for the entire site, just not the homepage. 

How can I make the homepage navigation links on desktop white? And not affect the drop down links in the About folder?

Add to Design > Custom CSS 

/* Home desktop header color */
body.homepage .header-nav-item>a {
    color: white !important;
}
