Paypal Linking - Asking for credit card

Hi all,

I am trying to link my paypal business account to my squarespace site as the payment processor.

I go into commerce - payments - click paypal.

I login with my paypal account details and then it says its connected and asks me to go back to the squarespace page but when I do then the following page pops up and promps me to fill in card details. If i go out of this then the paypal is no longer connected. Does one have to link a credit card in order to link paypal to their website, if so why?

I have got a business bank account linked within my paypal already - so I was not wanting to link a credit card.

I have contacted squarespace support and paypal without much luck.

Desperate for help on this, otherwise I can't sell my products.
