Displaying price in variant dropdown menu?

Hi,

On my product pages, I would like the price to display next to each variant in the drop down menu. The only solution I can come up with is naming the variant with the price. See photo. This works OK,  but it is slow and creates a lot of work if I want to run a sale, because I have to manually edit every variant to show the sale price. Is there a work around?

I searched the forum, but it seems no one has asked this question before.
