gallery 2 Part Question

Hi all! I have a 2 part question. 

1) Is there a way to do a full page gradient and not just in section blocks? 

2) Can you recommend a plugin I can purchase for an image gallery. What client is wanting is pretty simple but not offered in Squarespace. He wants the image to the left and square thumbnails to the right (instead of underneath)

#1. What is access password?

#2. You can share link to gallery, then we can try some code to move thumbnails from bottom to right

So basically this gallery but square images on the right hand side instead of underneath
