Charging for products in 2 stages (deposit, then full payment)

Hi guys,

I'm launching a new brand and I want to charge people a deposit for the products first so I can gauge how many of each product to make, where they then pay the full price when the product is shipped. Any ideas on how I could do this?

Hi, I need this too.

I sell tours. I need the ability to sell holiday as a product and offer:

1. Variants of: single, twin, double
2. Early Bird discount
3. Deposit of either a percentage or an amount off the total price

I have been needing this for 3 years. Let me know if you find a way.

At the moment I can only put variants on sale, which is not the same thing.
