Code Block Covers Banner Image

I am trying to set up a website with a banner image with some text and an code block on top of it that has HTML code that animates the text so it appears like it is being typed. I am able to add the text and code block to the intro section over the banner image in my Brine template and everything looks correct. When I navigate away from the page and return, the banner image is gone, and it appears as those it is completely covered by the code block. Is there any way to fix this problem so the banner image stays beyond when it is initially uploaded?
