How to add an empty excerpt?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My problem probably defeats the the purpose of having an excerpt, but I am wondering if there is a way to include and empty excerpt to a blog page.

So all I want is a blog title, and the "read more" link ( no text for the expert).

Does anyone know any ways to do this?

@nathanlohmail have you tried this:

  1. Create a new (blank) page
    • it usually defaults with a text block
  2. Use the text block for the Title of the Blog post
  3. Either insert a button block or just add a text block and link it to where you want "read more" to take the user.

Not sure if that's what you were looking for. Just trying to be helpful 😄

Hi I'm having the same issue, in the past I was able to add a blank space or enter a blank row to get around this in the blog excerpt.

When I try to add a new blog or update an existing blog it's removing the excerpt blank text and filling the blog feed with the whole item.

News page is https://belaucable.com/news and an example of the post which has a single "." in the excerpt is at https://belaucable.com/news/2020/05/29/new-bscc-board-to-open-up-bottleneck

I'd appreciate any help please, this is doing my head in 🤕
