Google Domain - Error in linking domain

I am having an issue every time I try to connect my domain to my Squarespace page. I am the domain owner and try to click through the "use my own domain" flow, then type in the domain name and select "Google Domains" option. The next step is clicking to launch the window to log in to the Google account associated with my domain I was to link. 

However even before that upon launch of the window a "There was an issue linking your Google Domain" appears in the background and upon selecting the correct Google account this message appears:

Reached out to Squarespace support - but I have not had this issue on my other account and was able to link them yesterday. 

I am also having this exact issue when linking my google domain! Very frustrating.
