Change podcast category for Apple

Wondering how to change/update my podcast category for Apple, since they recently realigned all their categories? Any help much appreciated.

You change it in the 'itunes:category' tag in whatever method you are using to create your feed. In most cases the is a choice of sub-categories and you should pick one, otherwise, one will be chosen for you.Varun Blogger at Radio Box

I can't seem to find the new 'True Crime' category???

Yeah, I don’t see any of the new categories from Apple. Have they not been updated in Squarespace yet?

Pretty slow going from SquareSpace in implementing support for the new Apple Podcasts categories considering they were announced in early June and already went live two weeks ago...

Agreed. Disappointing.

I had a short chat with SqSpace support. They are aware of the issue and (I assume) it's worked on. No promised date for implementation, of course.

Pretty poor performance, IMO. It should not be too difficult to change the categories in the UI and check the new categories show up correctly in the xml RSS feed.

Feed categories could be left as-is until categories are changed by the user too.

Podcasting support seems pretty far down SqSpace priorities..

Happy to say SqSpace had implemented the changes a few days ago.
