homemadebetty Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I have been trying to get Seo straight for the website. I was recently told that the tags that I'm creating for each item in my store is only for tagging when I send something to pintrest or google plus. Does square space support any seo listing?
mastermynde Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Hi @homemadebetty, what is your store URL? It is likely that the tags you're referencing are only peripherally related to the search engine optimization of your site. Yes, SquareSpace has some functionality related to SEO, however it's not referred to as 'tags' within the content management system.
Minimist Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 SEO is a blanket term for the many things you can do to make your website more visible to search engines such as using keywords in your text and headers, naming images correctly, optimizing images for fast loading, optimizing images, etc., etc. There are a lot of things you can do to optimize your site's SEO. I wrote post about it here. You can also download a Squarespace SEO guide on that page.
dchawla Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 SEO is the entire process of digital marketing. Tags are part of the blogs where you can specify what the content is related to! SO if you are getting a link from the blog, you can add tags in there.Tags is just a small tiny portion of SEO!
