I had to add a featured image because videos do not start at the 1st frame. I added a gray background image and it stays on the screen too long. How do I shorten the time for this featured image? (The video is on the top left of my page.)

I want drop shadows around my images and videos. I do NOT want drop shadows around any text blocks. How do I get rid of drop shadows around my text blocks? Attached is a screenshot of my Custom Css. What am I doing wrong?
