I have the same issue. I use Squarespace's email account (no mailchimp), and they actually give you a way to insert your subscriber's first name into the email (e.g. in the greeting). So you would think they would give you a way to collect those first names. Has anyone found a way to make this work using the Squarespace email? Also, another issue is I link my newsletter subscribers to a Google Sheet, and the pop-up form is not linking the email address to my spread sheet, but instead I'm only getting the time of entry. I have to find the email address in my squarespace subscriber list and enter it by hand on the spread sheet.
