It should be useful just if you upload image with the very same name and this replace the one in the library. Now what happens is something "weird": you can have more images with the same name (it is possible 'cause it's in a different path inside Squarespace's CDN).

I recently created a website for my artist friend. We decided not to use the gallery option because we weren't satisfied with the available choices. Instead, we used image blocks.
Now, I want to add captions specifically for the lightbox feature. When visitors click on her pictures, they should be able to read the captions.
As you can see in the screenshots, there doesn't appear to be an option for inline captions or caption editing for images.
Could you please help me with this? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

When I put a gallery up the "use from existing collections" does not sync with the asset libraries and has nothing. Why is this?

I have the same question - can someone please help with this? I am trying to create a blog entry and considering they have blog post pages, the layout options seem ridiculously limited. Am I expected to re-upload all the images that I already put in the asset library just to be able to post multiple images in a single section?

I'm looking to add AI-generated images to my website. Has anyone used AI image services like Kazimir.ai with Squarespace? I need advice on tools or APIs for this.

I'm trying to adjust/enlarge the images I have in a slideshow gallery block.  They "max" out when I try to enlarge them.

Thanks so much for your help! While the code works great for making the title and the view event buttons direct to external links, clicking the image seems to only go to an empty page with "about:blank" listed in the URL.

My organization runs events through a service called Classy. You can see an example page of an event here: https://give.asianhalloffame.org/event/19th-asian-hall-of-fame-induction-ceremony/e520197.
I would like to use the Squarespace event page as a one-stop listing of all our upcoming events as well as a backend that keeps track of our past events. However, as is, it seems that clicking the images on the page link to another Squarespace page. I would like images to link instead to external pages such as the example page above. Is there a way to do that?

I am trying to make it able for viewers to click through the separate image blocks when opened in Lightbox. Currently you have to click out of Lightbox via the X and then open the next image (new block) by clicking on it. 
This seems to be automatically enabled when images are viewed in Lightbox when displayed in a Portfolio Page with a Gallery but want to avoid using a portfolio because the grid systems are too rigid for my liking. I want the freedom of individual blocks but then able to view them all together once in Lightbox by clicking 'next'.
Examples can be seen in the attached files, the rising bread has no 'next' option, but the portrait, which is in a portfolio has 'next' and 'back' buttons.
 
Is this possible?

I am a painter currently switching over my website platform from Show.it to Squarespace. I really appreciated Show.it for it's drag and drop website features making anything I had in mind customizable, but chose to switch to Squarespace for the friendlier e-commerce. 
I am having trouble achieving what I'd like to do with my gallery portfolio. I like the gallery grid view and want to feature captions, but only have the captions appear when you click on the image in the Lightbox view. I found a solution to my own problem from a forum where a user provided helpful code to inject in the CSS. The other night, I did this and thought I solved the problem. When I returned to my website a couple days later, It was gone. It wouldn't fix even when I went through the same steps of adding this code back in. 
I hope this makes sense, and if anyone can help in this situation, I would be extremely grateful.

Hi! I'd like a line of text, stylised as H3, that when clicked copies that piece of text to your clipboard, with a pop up / notification that says "Copied to clipboard", is this possible?
It's for my email; I know a lot of people (myself included) don't like the mailto: feature as it can open a native, less-preferred email application.

I have a javascript code that currently pulls data from a Google sheet file and creates cards related to events, for some reason, the image src doesn't show the images, it shows the alt text only. When I logged the URL to my console, I got a URL related to the page but not the URL of the images, is there a way I can fix this?
 

All of a sudden, my slideshow galleries are completely stretched. I didn't make any changes or even edit anything, I just loaded up the website as a visitor and suddenly the images look like this.... Can anyone help? All of the images in the gallery are the same aspect ratio and I have never had this issue before.

.... It's magically fixed now, but I have no idea why. Is there anyone who has had this happen to them? Any reason why it might have happened??
