Wanted to jump in and here and provide a resource to anyone struggling with this. I hired a developer to help me get my tag set up properly for verified merchant status and for my ads and he was able to get my tags set up via google tag manager and my site without going into developer mode. He said I could share his info here for anyone who needs help: george.dilthey@gmail.com I had already created my product catalog for my digital products (my VA did, if anyone needs help creating theirs, let me know!) but then could never get the tags to fire properly so my verified merchant status fell off. He showed me what he did and walked me through it, but it was pretty technical so I wasn't 100% following--he essentially set everything up in google tag manager and then wrote code to make sure it pulled all the info it needed for each purchase/add to cart. My tag showed healthy for all info in no time and now my status is back. I found him on Upwork and he was very professional and great to work with. If anyone needs help with their pinterest + squarespace tags for VMS or ads, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Save yourself the hours and hours of searching online and trying to diy it. His name is George and his email: george.dilthey@gmail.com

To anyone who is searching this thread and has this issue, I JUST resolved it. I found a developer who was able to get it fixed very quickly for me (this is after working with a google tag manager and trying to search online for hours for how to find the solution myself-with zero success). He set up my google tag with all the data for the tag to be able to pull my product ids, value, etc, and all the data pinterest needs for a healthy tag. He didn't need to go into developer mode on my site (some developers I spoke to said they would need to and that just made me very nervous), and it was a pretty quick process for him to write the code and get it all installed and affordable. I highly recommend him. Assuming it's okay to share his info here, his email is george.dilthey@gmail.com. He saved me SO MUCH TIME and brainspace. My verified merchant status is not up and running with a healthy tag and my ads manager is now getting all the info she needs on the backend since the data is pulling through.

@lkaye Did this work for your tag? I ended up hiring a google tag manager to set up my tag and it was working for a bit then stopped and now I'm about to lose my status. Tag health on pinterest says it needs to add to cart value and checkout value...but my google tag manager says everything is set up fine and Pinterest is of zero help. Does your add to cart and checkout tag work to bring values into your pinterest analytics? If so, what code did you use for that? (Or, did the above code work?)

I was able to figure out my product catalog as well. Were you able to get your Pinterest tag set up? Are you applying to be a verified merchant on Pinterest?

Any updates here on how to create the data source for digital products to upload to Pinterest? Chatted with SS support and they said they don't have guides/resources for that and to check the forum. Hmm...their tutorial for exporting physical products is cut and dry, but then for creating your own file with data...where do you even get that data?

Thank you for the response. I was hoping I could find a zap or something to make it work. Do you know if most product sellers use a different software for their shop and cart so they have more control over the abandoned cart emails? I have thrivecart but not really looking to rebuild all of my products out there 😕 thanka! katie

@EvanCoffee Did you ever find anything more out about this? I'm looking for something that connects with Squarespace to send abandoned cart emails, but the Squarespace option only lets you send one email, and I'd prefer to send a sequence of emails. I'm trying to avoid redoing my whole sales page and moving items to thrivecart/etc which WOULD allow me to set up a zap to send a series of emails via my email service provider but that will just take so much time!! Would love to know if you found a software that integrates with SS or a workaround?
