This will be my first time re directing a domain that is currently connected to a live website. I have created a new square space website and am looking to connect the domain from the existing wordpress website to the new square space one. The domain is with Go Daddy. Is this a simple process? Is it pretty much the same thing as connecting a domain to a brand new website? (changing the name servers and that's it?) Feeling a bit anxious as it's for a client and I don't want their website to be down for too long. I also don't want any issues with the old website showing up in google etc. Thank you so much!

I've just had a client inquire about it but want to make sure that it's possible before I take on the project.
