Squarespace domain says "Website expired", want to use google sites

Hey all, 

I'm looking to have my domain, which I own through squarespace, work properly when I visit the site and show my google site. I have tried linking the google site to squarespace, but since I started a trial website through squarespace I believe it won't let me do what I want to. I have already verified the email via CNAME and my email at the domain works just fine. I can't quite figure out how to fix this as there isn't much information out there I can find (maybe I don't know how to search for it lol). If anyone has any suggestions or solutions I would greatly appreciate it.
