Search Box for site?

Hi, everyone.

I've been trying to find a way to insert a search bar for the site that can show up on each page.  Is there a way to do this within Squarespace, or will this require a plugin? 

I tried a plugin, which showed up on the site fine, but it wasn't actually populating any results.

Squarespace's search bar is pretty much trash, I wouldn't recommend using it for most websites unless you have a real need. I generally try and design a website around the principle of making it easy to navigate without resorting to searching. In the case of a very extensive blog, then using this plugin for filtering and searching the blog is great:
