Help needed with domain forwarding

Hi,

I'm not a tech person, and not sure if I'm even using the proper language.  I purchased a domain on Wordpress.  I built a site on Squarespace.  I copied the DNS files in the SS instructions and added to my WP domain DNS settings.  SS shows that my domain is "connected", but if I type in "www.eminent-rs.com" I still get the generic WP landing page, which is "https://eminentrs.wordpress.com".  Been this way for more than 72 hours since I changed the DNS files.  Not what I want.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm not sure I can help but I also transferred from WP to SS. I decided to 'point' SS to the WP domain and It happened within about 10 or 15 mins. I used this video to do it. Still felt very nervous while doing it, but after a correction for one of the files, I was done.  

Btw, I checked your site and it seems to be up and running?
