Eminent-RS

Hi, I'm not a tech person, and not sure if I'm even using the proper language. I purchased a domain on Wordpress. I built a site on Squarespace. I copied the DNS files in the SS instructions and added to my WP domain DNS settings. SS shows that my domain is "connected", but if I type in "www.eminent-rs.com" I still get the generic WP landing page, which is "https://eminentrs.wordpress.com". Been this way for more than 72 hours since I changed the DNS files. Not what I want. What am I doing wrong?
