Auto-formatting for customer submitted info

Is there a way to have all of the customer submitted phone numbers be formatted with parenthesis and dashes on invoices? My client is complaining that it is hard to read the customer info quickly when they are handling lots of orders.

They also think the invoices are poorly designed so any additional styling and customization seems like a very nice thing to have in future updates. I'm assuming there is lots of agreement on that! 🙏
