I need to be able to upload file numbers with images to my galleries

I want to set up a client gallery for images from a photo session so they can choose purchases and give me the correct files to Photoshop for them.

Simple, right? Dropbox does it automatically. But I want clients to come to my site so they might see other images, etc. It seems the only way to do this on SS is to manually caption each image I upload to a gallery. And there might be dozens. Why isn't thee a better way?

What do other shooters, etc., do? Why can't SS include file numbers or names with a batch upload?
