My mobile page is cropping my desktop page. How to fix?

I'm reading some help guides, but sorry SS finding it confusing. My desktop one page, no header, no footer graphic (removed it) design looks shite on mobile. I'm reading it's meant to intuitively crop to fit, if adhering to some guidelines. 

But I'm finding the process confusing. And when I go into edit.. I'm just moving buttons, sliders, grids around with no idea what I'm doing. 

So can someone help streamline, simply. I'm not like SS guides. I feel like they have to dumb it down a bit. For me anyway 😉

** I have one full desktop graphic for may shop. No other buttons. Just a landing page. Currently as a video loop with 5 different coloured backdrop pages. And I want that to be relatively similar on mobile
