I only offer 2nd day air via UPS as my bakery product is perishable. We are located in NY's Hudson Valley 40 minutes south of Albany, NY. This issue impacts any customer that is close enough to our bakery to receive their product the next day irrespective of the UPS service level. Example, someone in NYC orders a pie and pays for 2nd day air as this is the only option I offer. They get charged the UPS 2nd day air charge, but a Ground service level also arrives the next day due to proximity so the customer has therefore paid a lot more than they would have if Ground had been an option.
