Blur in section background while repeating edge pixels

Hey everyone! I'd love your assistance with this:

I'd like to blur in the current section background (main image on homepage), I've found code to make that happen, the problem is that the edge pixels arent repeated leaving the background colour ghosted at the edges. Anyone have tips on how to achieve this? Thank you! 🙂

Can you share some screenshot of which you describe the edge pixels arent repeated leaving the background colour ghosted at the edge?

I've checked but can not find it

I removed that code, however the code I used just simply blurred the image but the edges simply fade off to white.

is there some generic code to repeat edge pixels? Here an example of what I mean:
