How to add text as an overlay on gallery images that can link to a page

Hi everyone. Absolute squarespace novice here. I'm building a site and have a gallery block on the front page of website that scrolls images. On each image I want to have a text box overlaid on the image that clients can then click and it takes them to the corresponding page of the website. I can't do this using the built in method and wondered if someone could please point me in the right direction or recommend someone who could do this for me please.

Image attached of what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance 🙂

It looks like you use SS 7.1. You can edit Slideshow >> Add description on each image >> Then we will give the code to make text a background same as screenshot
