Why does version 7.1 not support develop mode?

I am a developer and interested in Develop Mode of SS.

But Squarespace  v7.1 does not support the Developer Platform without any explanation. Can anyone help me to explain it clearly?

In future versions, will it be completely deleted?

My website needs Develop Mode to create some custom post type. Is there a different way to be able to create a custom post type in 7.1?

You can do almost anything in 7.1. I did all custom blog pages just using CSS and column alignment.

I'd like to know if this is the end of developer mode or if it will come back after version 7.1
