Blocking dates for delivery

Hello,

My first time here, I would appreciate any help. I wanted to close my ecommerce shop for a few of days, how do I  block those dates for deliveries. the only option I found was to either set my site as " Password protected" or "Private". is there a way to have the site open/available so the customers could still place their orders, but block certain days for deliveries, the days that I am not able to deliver. thank you in advance.

You can set up a product form, it will display before checkout and set a required date input, I suggest using a date picker plugin to block certain day of week or cut'off time of delivery

Thank you for the respond. any suggestions about the third party plug ins? I do have custom check out, so it has to work with custom check out.

Also not sure what you mean by "custom checkout". If you're using Squarespace Ecommerce, you cannot customise the checkout expect adding a form or offering a pickup option. Are you using something like Shopify Buy button? Or do you mean express checkout?

There are a few methods for adding delivery dates for customers. 

1. Add a Product form.
This is simple but it's very limited and possibly quite difficult to maintain especially for multiple products. Also blocking dates off is tricky as it's done by coding javascript. Checkout a video of how to do this here

2. Link Squarespace Scheduling to to your Squarespace E-commerce

This way customers can choose the delivery date with the lovely Squarespace Scheduling. It has tons of pros, especially that it's such a well-designed product. However it needs some coding to first setup. After that it's super nice.

3. Use the Shopify buy button instead of Squarespace ecommerce and use one of these Shopify apps:

4. You can also use the Stripe Payment link and add redirection to Scheduling after purchase is successfull

 EDIT: One more option 

You can alse create landing pages for products in Squarespace (not and ecommerce page, a normal page or portfolio or blog...) and use button block to link to an appointment type to sell that product, and accept the payment in Scheduling. 

This would create the best user experience for customers. However it only works if you're selling a single product (like a  yoga class or consulting session).

Checking to see if you have made a date picker plugin for Squarespace products yet? I see that SF.Digital has one but I wanted to check to see if you had one before I explore theirs further.
