IP address blockers: any good?

I use Squarespace 7, which doesn't allow for blocking/banning IP addresses. Has anyone used an IP blocker app that's been effective? 

Does anyone know any solutions that will allow a squarespace site to block a specific IP address from accessing it?

I'm also seeking the same. I know Squarespace no longer offers it. I've considered using a service like GoDaddy to home my domain, since they offer it. And there's Cloudfare, but it's made for tech security folks and far from user-friendly.

Has anyone found anything?
