Colour listed in Theme Editor doesn't match the text

Hi

Hope you can help. I have added to a font to my site (Dreamy Bird) using Custom Css. I have applied it to all H and P text, as well as everything else using CSS code. Seems to be working ok.

One of my blocks has a blue background and I want it to have white text, but I cannot for the life of me make it go white! I have chosen the theme editor that shows blue background with white text, but it does not change it. I have gone into that theme editor and checked, and all the text colours are white. I have tried to put the text into a markdown block and used

<span style="color:white">text</span>

it still won't change to white.

I see all the text on my website is actually black, but I would like it to be this dark blue colour too. 

Can anybody help?

I've had to put private again as editing and don't want people to see a site that's being moved about. Hopefully I can sort! Will be back if I can;t!

You can use the site wide password feature I mentioned above. Then we would be able to look at it and the general public won't.
