Formatting styles of Content Link blocks

Let me start with a premise–I'm definitely not an advanced user by any means... Just an audio technician at a very small business with a graphic design background (printing/signage, not web dev) trying to improve our website! So if I'm trying to do this thing all wrong, please let me know...

I've recently come across a few types of blocks that don't seem to be editable site-wide in the Design/Site-Styles function of Squarespace. Specifically right now, I'm trying to format a Content Link Block. The block pulls the banner media, title, and description of the linked page, but I can't seem to modify anything about it.

The most basic edit I'd like to start off with is to change the style of the title to something like h2, rather than the 'normal' style. If it's a similar process, some kind of visual container would be ideal, such as a slightly brighter white box background around the link, so the grid of links looks like a collection of cards almost. Here's an example of that I found while trying to search for an answer to this question, which is a look I have never figured out how to do:

Ultimately I'm looking for a way to visually let people understand that the links are in fact links, and more can be found from clicking (the way it's setup is we have separate web pages for the big services our company can provide, which are targeted landing pages from specific AdWords campaigns. I essentially want a grid summary of these web pages in my site as a quick overview of what we do. I know the above is a summary block of blog pages, which is slightly different than what I'm trying to accomplish, since I can't seem to create a summary block of anything other than products or blogs).

I understand maybe I'll need to use the Custom CSS to target my specific page linked in this post? If so, where can I find information about this specific use? Is there a way to target the "block," rather than the whole page itself?

Thanks!

I would like to second this question! I want the site title / logo in my footer to link to the home page, but my "content link block" is not editable and will only appear as the basic paragraph style. Super frustrating, as this is a pretty basic need... is there some other way Im missing?
