Category side scroll to stacked

I have a store and the categories are a side to side list and when the window is smaller and on mobile you have to scroll to the side. Hard to know how many there are and no way to be able to tell to scroll. Would love to know if you can make it stacked or compressed even a drop down so I can show all categories.
