How to show Random Quotes?

Hi all!  I am trying to make a joke site for my small internet community/group of friends and just want it to be nice and simple.  The idea is for the home page to simply display a random quote in large text, and each time you navigate to the page or refresh, you should get another random quote from a pool of quotes I have added in.  Is there an easy way to go about this?  Also, would there be a way to add a background image that is random along with each random quote?  This is less important but I think would be fun.

Additionally, are there any simple templates that would be best suited for this?  I am very new to this.  Thanks!!
