DBL
I can't believe this is not a feature in SS! Seems like basic functionality and seems like lots of people are asking for it - all the way back to 2013... Useful for brand continuity as well as people who want to test code. Just a button to completely replicate the side so I can go in and change the text but everything else is the same. Anyone know of any workarounds? Link to comment
colin.irwin
Your best option is to use @michaeleparkour's Chrome extension to clone from one Squarespace site to another. It doesn't clone everything (you'll need to rebuild page footers, for instance) but it will do 90% of the job quickly and easily. The standard version is here - https://www.squarewebsites.org/squarespacewebsites-tools-extension This is a link to the Pro version, which has a number of other useful features included. - https://www.squarewebsites.org/squarespacewebsites-tools-extension-pro If you're looking for a Squarespace Developer, drop me a line. michaeleparkour
@colin.irwin Content presets and layout copy in 1.0.56 opens in every area where editable blocks are. So Footers blocks, Prefooter, other SQS https://developers.squarespace.com/open-block-field should be able to copy. Same as Products Additional infos)) But yes, it will not copy such things while you cloning just page and block area connected with page (block has page id or item id), you will be needed to do this manually. brandon
@DBL: It doesn't help you, but this feature was explored. It also happens to be the most popular post on these forums: https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/917-soliciting-feedback-site-cloning/ If a response helped you out, send a 'Like' 👍 (bottom-right) and/or 'Upvote' (top-left) Link to comment
