@kajumi10999 @byboldstudio Within Edit Form Fields (as shown in your screenshot) click the Email field and the scroll down to Email Signup and toggle it off. The 'Sign up for news and updates' option will be removed.

Note that when Email Signup is disabled, their contact details will not appear in the Contacts panel under Subscribers.

The code you've quoted above is just one part of the code required to update the year. This is the HTML element that is usually placed in the visible footer area, and then updated by some JavaScript that you place in the Code Injection Footer panel.
Perhaps you've added script to the 2023 sites, but forgotten to add it to the newer ones? 🙂
The script will typically be something like this:
<script> var currentYear = new Date().getFullYear(); document.getElementById("currentYear").innerText = currentYear; </script>

I have just run into this issue as well!  I am totally panicking, as my site relies on good internal search functionality!
After finding this page on forum here, I reached back out to SS (was the 4th agent I talked to today) and I finally got a real response (the others were blanket replies saying that the issue is being forwarded to engineering and they will work on it).
The last agent agreed that it's been an issue with 7.1 since the beginning, that the search doesn't work for text blocks, image titles or captions or most content on layout pages!
I am mortified after spending hundreds of hours on my site.
How can this issue have not been fixed by now ~ I mean seriously!?
At least, if they CAN'T fix it, there should be an upfront disclosure, on their site, that alerts people to this problem, when people are choosing between 7.0 vs. 7.1 and/or between SS and another platform (that can handle the basic functionality of internal search).
FYI Apparently it's not an issue for 7.0, but those templates can not do what 7.1 can, design-wise.
I feel like I have potentially lost 100's of hours of work, time and money and really don't understand why SS can't fix this bug!  How can we get through to them, to have this resolved?
 

Yes, this is very problematic. Site search is one of those common features in a website that when they don't work, reflect poorly on the developer, regardless of fault. Had I been aware something as simple as the search tool would not work I wouldn't have created the website in 7.1. I will not develop any others in 7.1 until this issue is fixed.

Anyone heard an update, when is this going to be fixed?   Ridiculous that 'search' doesn't work.   And, in the background it does appear to work somewhat - it does find results on some pages as they display for a brief moment before the non-sense return "your search did not match any documents".

I've added service products to a site. Once the service has been paid for, a standard SS confirmation page presents.
What I need is content on this confirmation page, including a link to an external website, as part of an additional step for users.
I have wondered about using css generated content that includes hyperlinks to enable what I need. Has anyone ever achieved this before? 
Alternatively, perhaps it's possible to incorporate script to the site to enable linking to a different, customized confirmation page once a payment for the service has been made?
Any insight about the possibility of doing this will be very appreciated.
