Wait....if there is "no way" to show customers the cost of shipping using extensions, then how do the customers know what they will pay for shipping? Just learned why I have such a huge abandoned cart number: Squarespace carrier calculated shipping is DOUBLE what I see on USPS and UPS websites. This has been going on for years now and no one said a word to me about it until today. My products are all different sizes, shapes and weights. Flat rate simply does not work. Help! I'm mortifed by this. I need an intelligent solution that does not leave me eating shipping costs, but does not drive my customers away.

Yeah, someting is REALLY wrong with the carrier calculated shipping rates. My customer just got charged $224 for shipping something that costs $119 to ship and that's with insurance added into the price! That's nearly twice the price of what was calculated directly with USPS click-n-ship. I dont have "negotiated rates". I was previously adding a small percentage in Squarespace to cover insurance costs (since it's not offered) but now I'm just shocked and fully understandng all of the abandoned carts I see. Wow, I wish I would have known this sooner, I need ideas on how to keep customers. Every product I ship is a different size and weight so flat fee is not an option.
