  1. I have a blog inside a member area. The RSS feed for the blog breaks in all RSS readers, I assume because the reader is running up against the password protection. Is there any way to make RSS work with member areas, or to achieve something similar to RSS for member areas?
  2. What is the best way to display a RSS feed from my Facebook Fan Page on my website? Should I drop the RSS feed into a Code Block? If so how should I format it?
  3. Hello! Does anyone know how to fix these errors in my RSS Feed after using the validation tool? I followed the steps to create my RSS Feed for my blog, with the ultimate goal to have email automatically sent to subscribers when a new blog is posted. Easy enough! The link directs to the right place, but here seems to be some errors after using the feed validator Here are the results: https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmyhouseholdmanaged.com%2Fblog%3Fformat%3Drss#l3 Squarespace customer support cannot help me My friends that know coding can't seem to find the issue My knowledge of coding is not enough to know if it is a fault of my own or a template issue. I built my own site and used a service to do a website refresh. Would love to be able to fix it myself.
  4. Site URL: https://gracebiblerichmond.org Our podcast works on Apple but the URL link generated by Squarespace apparently stopped working with Google and other podcast sites back in July 2022. Can anyone help me understand how to fix this? This is the URL: https://gracebiblerichmond.org/sermonarchive?format=rss Thank you.
  5. Site URL: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories I am trying to get my site listed on google news. Have been working my way through the process, and as part of it I have to include the RSS Feed for my blog section. The blog I'm trying to list is: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories And the RSS I'm trying to pull is: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories?format=rss Google is saying this RSS url is verified, but isn't successfully pulling any articles from it. It could be that I have written the RSS Feed url wrong or something like that, but I don't think so. I tried checking my RSS feed here and it pulls up numerous errors. Not sure if these are the problem or what, but I'd love any help at all from anyone who has more experience with RSS Feeds or integrating with Google News. Many thanks
  6. Site URL: https://speakoutloudnew.squarespace.com/podcast I'm new to adding a podcast to Squarespace and am wondering what is possible for a client site. They have an existing podcast and they want every past episode uploaded to the site as well as future episodes. They are hosted on Anchor. Is there a way to do this automatically? I don't understand if RSS can work this way. Thanks!
  7. I have recently tried embedding my rss iframes from a 3rd party site that I use and insert it successfully into my website, but everytime I attempt to adjust the height, and set it to stack on another iframe or any other content, it adds scrollbars when responsive to mobile device sizes. I end up researching if i can auto adjust height with css, javascript, or in the iframe itself, but now I find out I may not be able to, due to cross-domain? Apologies for the tangent here...but it has been a long month researching this haha. Question is, if I can't use iframes to build multiple layers of iframes in my news aggregator website, then how do I build a good news aggregator website in squarespace? I am trying to build a one stop shop for all news on my subject, so it will have articles sourced from other locations, youtube videos, ticker information, etc. Examples would be like yahoo, cnn, drudge report, etc. Any ideas of how to build this? I don't think templates get me very far, and those are more geared towards original content, instead of aggregation. I also don't want to go to wordpress! I love the interface and ease of squarespace, plus when I dig into wordpress, it looks like I have to pay for so much from templates, to plugins, etc...So is it possible to handle rss feeds from a 3rd party (i pay for) and embed or somehow easily layout them in squarespace? Thanks for the help and guidance!! P.S. I am very much a beginner at CSS and HTML, but I am willing to learn and research any advice given!
  8. Hi there, Is there a way to have an RSS feed generated by a third party blog (that I own and control) be imported to auto-populate a SS blog? The limits on the RSS feed from SS, such as only the last 20 posts, and the removal of the 'blog by email' function, make this necessary. If not, is the only option to iframe that third party blog in a page here, or link to the third party page and try to match the design as closely as possible? Both are very messy. Thanks.
  9. I am desperate to get all of my e-mail marketing out of Mailchimp and into Squarespace but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do an automated e-mail campaign where people receive an e-mail every time a new blog post is published. Is this possible? I basically want to create a template that is populated and triggered by an RSS feed. Like this: https://us11.campaign-archive.com/?e=95ace6cb16&u=40a022775bd326fb61d6fd9e4&id=e97973261b I run a collaborative blog that publishes essays 3x a week. How can I sync our new content with an e-mail campaign? Some people prefer to read via e-mail ...

Site URL: https://www.annartz.com I"ve used mail chimp to send emails of my blog posts, which I call "news" on my site. I've never been able to integrate the RSS so each time I make an email in mail chimp I have to recreate it to be on my "news" page on my site. That seems dumb. Should I just send my blog post thought SS? I have a biz account I think. Is there additional cost? Easy to transfer my list over? Thanks!
  11. Site URL: https://creators.airbit.com Hi, We have a user platform that includes selected articles from our Squarespace site for our users. We want to fully automate it so that when a new article is published and is either tagged or categorized with `whats-new`, we can display it on our member platform. However, we don't want a `whats-new` category/page/section on the Squarespace site, so the category or tag will be applied across our existing sections/pages. We've tried a few different methods for this using some thing described in the docs, but all have failed thus far. For example: `https://creators.airbit.com/?category=whats-new&format=json` - this example url will return the homepage content, not the category-specific content. Is there a way to do this without rebuilding all our page structure, etc?
  12. Site URL: https://www.teatimepodcast.com/podcast?format=rss Hi friends, My submitted podcast to Apple Podcast got removed by Apple because of the "language issue". My podcast is in Persian language. But my RSS feed shows it as "English"! Unfortunately, Squarespace does not support Persian as one of the languages for Podcasting! (I know selecting the language is optional, but this is what gets feed to Apple Podcast, and I cannot edit it from Apple Podcast, it should get fixed from my RSS feed). By default, it shows in my RSS that the language is English! even though I haven't selected the language from the "Feeds". Is there any way (CSS customize?) to be able to change the language shown in my RSS feed from <language>en-US</language> to <language>fa</language>? I appreciate your help! 🙏 Thanks, Ehsan
  13. Looking for a solution on how to get an external rss feed onto a SS site? Im making a local pharmacy a new website and they want the national pharmaceutical news rss feed on their site (rss feed i want on my site is: https://www.apteekki.fi/terveydeksi/uutiset.rss) I contacted support and they told me that they don't have a solution built in. So I have to use a 3rd party widget. Any suggestions? Customer of course would like a free solution for this.. But let me know what rss readers have you used on squarespace sites.
  14. Hi everyone, I have a rss Mailchimp newsletter which automatically sends mails once a week with every new event i've added but I'm looking for a way to only show featured events. Is there any way to do this? Thanks!
  15. Hi all! I have a quick question. I have been hosting a podcast through my business website for almost three years. About three months ago, I noticed that my podcast “episode notes” were being cut off in Apple Podcasts as displayed below. I haven’t changed the way I write the audio content so checked previous episodes and they weren’t cut off as shown below. Now I’m limited to 200 characters, which is extremely difficult to do given the amount of information that I provide listeners. I was told that the cause would have to be in my RSS feed, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access my own RSS feed details so I can look for causes. Can someone please direct me to where to find this? Thank you so much for reading. Best, Jen
  16. Is there any way to pull in an RSS feed (with permission from the author) to automatically create blog posts in Squarespace? thanks
  17. Site URL: https://www.wapacklabs.com/sample How do I get this feed to show up on my square space site? Here is a sample page with a couple block type solutions https://www.wapacklabs.com/sample All thoughts and tips appriciated. Thank you!
  18. Hi there, is there a way to get the tags of a blog entry included in the RSS feed of the blog along with the feed entries? Categories are in the feed, but cannot be used here as I need to separate structures for information: Tags and Categories. Markus PS: I'm on Squarespace 7.1
  19. Site URL: https://hitlikeagirlpod.com/episodes I'm switching my podcast episodes from the built in SS audio player to Megaphone's service, which gets pulled in through to each episode post through an iframe. Does this change require that I update my RSS feed to Megaphone's, or will SS pick up the audiofile from the iframe code? I have the business plan.
  20. Hello! I am making a new website on squarespace 7.1. I currently have an already existing podcast that I publish with acast, and wanted to know if i could somehow sync that podcast to a page on my site, so that page autopopulates with photos, descriptions, etc. I know that spotify and apple podcasts use the RSS feed; is there a way to do this on squarespace as well? Thank you in advance everyone!
  21. Hey All, I am hoping that someone can help me figure out how the 'Replace Feed' feature works in the Blog page settings. My goal is to take a blog that is external from Squarespace and have it autmatically update 15+ Squarespace sites I have built to be formatted as blog posts. Right now we are manually updating each individual site with the same article, image and information. I took the RSS feed from our site and fed it through FeedBurner at this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/AAMarketReview From there I created a blog (not linked) in Squarespace and changed the page settings under 'Feed' to replace the content with the ones generated through that FeedBurner link. The problem is that Squarespace is not pulling the article previously published and even new ones after the link was added to the Feed Replace in Squarespace. I then created a separate page and added a Summary block and chose that RSS blog and it says there is no content. Maybe I am not understanding how this feature is supposed to work behind the scenes or even if there is a time limit on when Squarepace captures new content from the feed replacement. Can someone help me figure out the mechanics of this feature so I can see if it will work for what I am trying to achieve?
  22. Site URL: https://themeasureofanepisode.squarespace.com I use Podtrac as a third party podcast download tracker via the "Podcast Analytics URL" field in the Podcasting upload section of our blog post. Currently, Podtrac is reporting we get an average of 20 listens per episode. However, the Squarespace RSS Subscribers Analytics is reporting around 3,500 subscribers per day, which is a giant discrepancy. I understand a download and a subscriber isn't the same thing. But, what could be the reason for such a discrepancy?
  23. Site URL: https://www.sewncompany.com/blog Hello, I would like to create a password protected blog and allow followers with the password to receive updates from the blog when it is posted. How do I do this? Thank you, Sarah
  24. Hi! When my site went live a script for a RSS feed showed this instead of the articles it was supposed and previously showed. The URL you supplied ("https://blogg.dagensmedia.se/emma-blom/feed") returned a TLS (SSL) certificate error. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this?
  25. Site URL: http://funtimeprogram.com I recently started a podcast hosted on my Squarespace site at http://funtimeprogram.com. I have a blog set up at http://funtimeprogram.com/episodes and have used the RSS feed at http://funtimeprogram.com/episodes?format=rss I added the podcast to Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Podcast Addict, etc and the first episode got added perfectly, but our second episode hasn’t updated on any of the podcast sites and was published on August 9th so should have gone out to the podcast apps by now. Is there anything that I need to do to get these podcast apps to update with the latest episode? When I view the RSS feed directly it includes both the first and second episode so that seems to be working correctly.
