1. Is there any way to pull in an RSS feed (with permission from the author) to automatically create blog posts in Squarespace? thanks
2. What is the best way to display a RSS feed from my Facebook Fan Page on my website? Should I drop the RSS feed into a Code Block? If so how should I format it?
3. Site URL: https://www.wapacklabs.com/sample How do I get this feed to show up on my square space site? Here is a sample page with a couple block type solutions https://www.wapacklabs.com/sample All thoughts and tips appriciated. Thank you!
4. Hi there, is there a way to get the tags of a blog entry included in the RSS feed of the blog along with the feed entries? Categories are in the feed, but cannot be used here as I need to separate structures for information: Tags and Categories. Markus PS: I'm on Squarespace 7.1
5. Site URL: https://hitlikeagirlpod.com/episodes I'm switching my podcast episodes from the built in SS audio player to Megaphone's service, which gets pulled in through to each episode post through an iframe. Does this change require that I update my RSS feed to Megaphone's, or will SS pick up the audiofile from the iframe code? I have the business plan.
6. Site URL: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories I am trying to get my site listed on google news. Have been working my way through the process, and as part of it I have to include the RSS Feed for my blog section. The blog I'm trying to list is: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories And the RSS I'm trying to pull is: https://www.theradicalbalance.com/all-stories?format=rss Google is saying this RSS url is verified, but isn't successfully pulling any articles from it. It could be that I have written the RSS Feed url wrong or something like that, but I don't think so. I tried checking my RSS feed here and it pulls up numerous errors. Not sure if these are the problem or what, but I'd love any help at all from anyone who has more experience with RSS Feeds or integrating with Google News. Many thanks
7. Hi there, Is there a way to have an RSS feed generated by a third party blog (that I own and control) be imported to auto-populate a SS blog? The limits on the RSS feed from SS, such as only the last 20 posts, and the removal of the 'blog by email' function, make this necessary. If not, is the only option to iframe that third party blog in a page here, or link to the third party page and try to match the design as closely as possible? Both are very messy. Thanks.
8. Hello! I am making a new website on squarespace 7.1. I currently have an already existing podcast that I publish with acast, and wanted to know if i could somehow sync that podcast to a page on my site, so that page autopopulates with photos, descriptions, etc. I know that spotify and apple podcasts use the RSS feed; is there a way to do this on squarespace as well? Thank you in advance everyone!
9. Hey All, I am hoping that someone can help me figure out how the 'Replace Feed' feature works in the Blog page settings. My goal is to take a blog that is external from Squarespace and have it autmatically update 15+ Squarespace sites I have built to be formatted as blog posts. Right now we are manually updating each individual site with the same article, image and information. I took the RSS feed from our site and fed it through FeedBurner at this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/AAMarketReview From there I created a blog (not linked) in Squarespace and changed the page settings under 'Feed' to replace the content with the ones generated through that FeedBurner link. The problem is that Squarespace is not pulling the article previously published and even new ones after the link was added to the Feed Replace in Squarespace. I then created a separate page and added a Summary block and chose that RSS blog and it says there is no content. Maybe I am not understanding how this feature is supposed to work behind the scenes or even if there is a time limit on when Squarepace captures new content from the feed replacement. Can someone help me figure out the mechanics of this feature so I can see if it will work for what I am trying to achieve?
10. Site URL: https://themeasureofanepisode.squarespace.com I use Podtrac as a third party podcast download tracker via the "Podcast Analytics URL" field in the Podcasting upload section of our blog post. Currently, Podtrac is reporting we get an average of 20 listens per episode. However, the Squarespace RSS Subscribers Analytics is reporting around 3,500 subscribers per day, which is a giant discrepancy. I understand a download and a subscriber isn't the same thing. But, what could be the reason for such a discrepancy?
11. Site URL: https://www.sewncompany.com/blog Hello, I would like to create a password protected blog and allow followers with the password to receive updates from the blog when it is posted. How do I do this? Thank you, Sarah
12. Hi! When my site went live a script for a RSS feed showed this instead of the articles it was supposed and previously showed. The URL you supplied ("https://blogg.dagensmedia.se/emma-blom/feed") returned a TLS (SSL) certificate error. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this?
13. Site URL: http://funtimeprogram.com I recently started a podcast hosted on my Squarespace site at http://funtimeprogram.com. I have a blog set up at http://funtimeprogram.com/episodes and have used the RSS feed at http://funtimeprogram.com/episodes?format=rss I added the podcast to Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Podcast Addict, etc and the first episode got added perfectly, but our second episode hasn’t updated on any of the podcast sites and was published on August 9th so should have gone out to the podcast apps by now. Is there anything that I need to do to get these podcast apps to update with the latest episode? When I view the RSS feed directly it includes both the first and second episode so that seems to be working correctly.
14. Is it possible to add an RSS button to a header in Squarespace 7.1? I added a Twitter and Insta button, but I'd like to do the same for the site's RSS feed. Thank you!
15. Site URL: http://www.bethanywgates.com Hello Squarespace Forum, I'm currently using a V7.1 template. The template does not currently allow an RSS feed to be added as a block in the header. Instead, the RSS link was added to the Elements/social media list. However, the icon to represent RSS is coming up as a link icon instead of an RSS icon. After contacting support, they said that the icon can be changed in the CSS field. Does anyone know the code to replace a link icon with an RSS icon in the CSS field?
16. Site URL: https://studiobuilder.co/ I am using Zapier RSS feeds to take my recent blog posts and automate posting them to my Social Media Channels. There's a ton of information in the feed, but one thing that is missing is the URL to the Social Sharing Image. The RSS feed contains the URL to the Thumbnail Image for the blog post in Options, but not the social sharing image under each post's SEO settings. This forces the posts to use the thumbnail image and that doesn't display well on Facebook or LinkedIn if the images are different shapes.
17. Hey podcasters! I'm helping launch a podcast (after I helped the company build their site on Squarespace) and I’m trying to figure out the best way for them to record, host, and distribute. There will be two hosts and a guest recording remotely every episode. I just want to make sure they’re on a system that can reliably record without connection issues (on separate tracks so I can adjust the levels) and the best way to distribute episodes to the major platforms. I’ve been looking into anchor, zencaster, and cleanfeed among others. One option looks to be host the episodes on Sqsp (and they have a direct sync with Apple Podcast) and then you can upload an RSS feed and manage each platform separately. Has anyone gone this route? If anyone has any advice it’d be much appreciated!
18. Site URL: https://www.studiovulcan.com/portfolio Hey there, Recently found out I can get some kind of RSS feed and plug it into pinterest so it automatically uploads anything from that page on to your pinterest account. This, for me, is a huge deal. I'd love to do-away with having to manually upload every picture I create. Thing is, I do the format rss thing at the end of the page, and it doesn't work. My index page does, but that doesn't really help me too much. Any ideas guys?
19. Site URL: https://www.onlinebehaviours.co.uk/ Hi, I want to add an external RSS feed from this page https://www.e-safetysupport.com/newslinks/latest to the https://www.onlinebehaviours.co.uk/home-news page of the site. I have tried various things such as replacing the feed in the blog settings and adding a code block to the site and pasting the websites widget code. But nothing is working. The only thing that did work was adding the widget code to the pages header code injection. But this added the widget to the header obviously and made the site have a massive header on the page. Anyone have any ideas on how I can add the e-safety support feed to the site?
20. Hi,I used to host my podcast in squarespace, but recently I switched to podbean. When I was hosting it on squarespace the rss feed was created through audioblogs, resulting in blog-posts with seperate sites for each episodes. This came in handy for the google search function, because when you googled the name of my guest and "interview" the seperate blog-post page popped up immediately. It does not do so with the podbean site and that makes me wonder if it is possible to automatically create a blog post page from my external rss feed or through some other workaround. This would also help with google ads, because these sites could be the landing pages of specific ads. Thanks for help!Jan
21. iTunes allows the inclusion of links in an episode description tag using the following format:

Apple

I have tried adding links in my Squarespace audio blog post description for iTunes but they get stripped out. I checked the RSS feed generated by Squarespace and noticed the following:

For all comments on today’s episode, please use this link.

Are the links being stripped because there is no
tags in the RSS feed? Has anyone had any success in adding links to their episode descriptions? And why does Squarespace add the
tag at the beginning of the description? It doesn't seem to do anything and could this be the reason the links are being stripped? Thanks
22. Hello everyone, I would like to embed an RSS feed from a RateYourMusic.com profile into my SquareSpace blog, however, I'm unable to do so with custom code as RYM does not have CORS enabled for its RSS feed. Is it possible to use other means to embed the RSS feed? Kind regards, pesty_samurai
23. I am desperate to get all of my e-mail marketing out of Mailchimp and into Squarespace but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do an automated e-mail campaign where people receive an e-mail every time a new blog post is published. Is this possible? I basically want to create a template that is populated and triggered by an RSS feed. Like this: https://us11.campaign-archive.com/?e=95ace6cb16&u=40a022775bd326fb61d6fd9e4&id=e97973261b I run a collaborative blog that publishes essays 3x a week. How can I sync our new content with an e-mail campaign? Some people prefer to read via e-mail ...
24. I've set up my Mailchimp e-mail campaign, but the RSS feed formatting doesn't display the latest post. It merely displays the blog title, but no other content. HELP! I've tried everything.
25. I have been in the process of migrating all of my Mailchimp lists and campaigns over to Squarespace, but the one thing I can't seem to figure out is RSS campaigns. I currently have around 3,000 people subscribed to get an e-mail when a new essay goes live on our site. Can I do this in Squarespace? How? I just want a simple automated e-mail that is triggered by the RSS feed.
