Scrolling text is (much) slower on mobile?

For some reason, my scrolling text is appearing a lot slower on mobile (when I view it on my actual phone and not just mobile view on squarespace editor). I have checked to see if there were any accessibility settings on in my ios settings but there aren't. 

Any help?? I want people to read what they say but they are so slow.

We are facing a similar problem: scrolling Text slows down the performance of the webpage on old mobile devices significantly.
