Adding complex configurable Products

I am trying to set up a product that has multiple options (brake pads for a car) I started doing this using variants but quickly hit the 100 variant limit. What would be the best way to do this. I was able to configure a few choices but as you can imagine having multiple makes (Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Dodge etc) Models and years using variants it is impossible to configure. 

What would be the best way to set this up?

I've continued to struggle with this and am now looking at moving to Shopify or another tool. Using Variants has proven to be unmanagable.
