Photo gallery with project buckets

Hello. I am trying to create a page with a thumbnail for each of our projects (we are a carpentry business) and when someone clicks on the thumbnail the user can see the full gallery. I have attempted to use the summary blocks and having the display setting set to 1. When you click on the photo though it does not allow you to see the rest of the photos in the gallery. If I change the display number then that number of photos shows in the summary block page. I would very much appreciate your input on how to do this correctly.
