Github Gist not appearing outside of edit mode

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am trying to add an embedded github code snippet on my website. When I paste the github gist javascript snippet onto my site, I get a little block saying "Script Disabled" and a message saying I won't be able to view/execute the script on my site while I'm logged in and editing. However, I can get past this by just clicking a "Preview in Safe Mode" button inside the block. This displays the github gist code snippet properly. I save my changes. However, once I view the website as a normal user would (logged out, no edit mode, private browsing, etc.) I don't see anything where the code should be.

I've tried a variety of different blocks - embedded, code, markdown. I've dug through old forum posts and tried other online solutions but nothing seems to work. Any help would be really appreciated.

Solutions and resources I've tried / looked into already:
