How to add Furigana in website?

I'm trying to make a blog out in Japanese. And I wanted to have furigana characters on top of kanji characters so my friends who are still learning Japanese can read what I wrote.

Any idea how I can achieve this?

Great question! This is something I've been trying to figure out too for similar reasons. It seems I've made some progress though. I eventually figured out that furigana are ruby characters and wikipedia has a useful article with an example of how to do the markup. Basically, I had to code it in with HTML. The image shows some random stuff I wrote on Squarespace along with the code I used to make it look like that. I am a complete noob when it comes to HTML so there are likely better ways to do this.
