  1. Hey there,

I created a custom background colour for some text on my services page after not being able to change it through Site Styles. It almost worked, except that the text box is now shifted outside the grid lines of fluid engine. You'll notice how it doesn't line up with the right side of the image above, but protrudes out to the right.

I tried fixing this with padding and it didn't work. (Left side padding worked to shift everything over to the right, but right side padding did not work to shift it back over to the left.)

If anyone provide a solution to this little bug that would be great!

PS, here is the code I used:

    {background-color: hsl(30,25%,97%); padding-top: 15px; padding-left:15px; padding-right: 5px}

    Hey there,

There are a few more changes I'd like to make to my blog collection page but can't figure out how to do them:

    1. Add a 10px radius to the top corners of the container. (It worked for the bottom but didn't apply to the top.)

    2. Add padding to the left and right sides of the text. (I thought I got it by targeting ".blog-basic-grid--text", but nothing happened the first few tries, and the last few it only worked on the left side and pushed the right side text out of the container, so I deleted my attempt.)

    3. Push the "Read More" link down to (near) the bottom of the containers, so it's equally as far from the bottom as from the side (once the padding is in place).

    4. Change the "Read More" link font colour to #606060.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi there,

I used some CSS to remove the Categories and reduce the Excerpt length in my Blog Summary blocks, but it seems to have increased the white space underneath the posts. When I used "Inspect" to try see what I could target, the unwanted white space is showing as blue (content), rather than orange or green (white space).

Does anyone know how I can remove the unwanted white space in both my Blog Summaries (the "Sidebar" and the "Related Articles" section)?

    See image attached.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey there,

I found some code by Inside the Square to create a two-column layout for blog collection pages. It works great, but now my excerpts look wayyy too long, and the category tags take up too much space.

Can someone provide code to 1) REDUCE the excerpt to three lines ending in an ellipses, and 2) REMOVE the category tags, both changes on mobile view only?

    Thank you!

  5. This worked, THANK YOU Ziggy!!!

I'm now trying to reduce the padding around that Carousel summary block on mobile. Again, I haven't been able to find exactly what I need.

Is there a way to cut off all the excerpts at the same point (perhaps ending in a "..."), and reduce the vertical padding?

Again, I don't want to use a block ID since this is a template to be reused again and again.

    Hey there,

I'm trying to make ONE of my summary blocks (not all of them!) show up as a two-column grid on mobile view. I'm creating a blog post template to reuse indefinitely, so I don't want to use any specific block IDs that I'll have to change for every new post.

I've spent hours looking for a solution to no avail. This piece of code almost worked: https://www.rebeccagracedesigns.com/blog/summary-two-columns-mobile#:~:text=The following code is used in the video.

It achieved the two-column effect for my GRID summary, but it messed up my CAROUSEL summary directly above it by displaying ALL the summary blog posts as a grid, rather than two at a time in a carousel.

Can someone PLEASE provide a simple code for this? Would really appreciate it!
